Hi.

We're preparing to send in the DS-230 and all the supporting civil documents.

We were married in NYC. Does the marriage certificate have to be "long certificate" (for foreign use) or can it be "short certificate" (for domestic use)?

Will he need a long certificate for when he goes to his interview in London? Thanks in advance. =)

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Do you mean what i originally sent in with the I-130?

Sorry for not being clear. If the original wedding certificate is a long form then that is what you should submit. If the original is short then submit that.

Ah, I see.

The original is a short form. However, when I originally sent in a copy of my marriage certificate with my I-130, it was long form and they accepted that. Still confused but I think I will submit the short form. Thanks.
