NOA2--Do things really get moving after this?

Anyone know how long it takes for the US Consulate in Saigon, Vietnam to process the I-129F before you hear something from them? After NOA2, approximately how long does it take until the beneficiary get an interview? Any input is appreciated!

From the statistics here, it looks like it takes about 4-5 months from NOA2 to the Interview Date...

Ouch! That is ridiculously long! Is this in general for all countries or Vietnam, specifically?

3 months from NOA2 to interview at HCMC? I am calling shenanigans here...

Once the NOA2 is issued the case needs to get through NVC. This can take days or over a month depending on the case. From there The case is sent to HCMC and a few week later the Pkt 3 is sent to the benficiary. Once the Pkt response is sent to the consulate it will take close to 4 months or more to get the interview.

After a month or so, call DoS and check on the status of the case. They will tell you if pkt 3 has been sent out.. after you respond to pkt 3 call them again after some time to see if the interview has been scheduled. You should already be reading through the VN regional and getting insight into what to expect at the HCMC interview. Get the needed documentation in order early... she needs to be VERY FAMILIAR with every aspect of you, your family, your job, where you live and your relationship.

Thanks guys for replying. Anyways, I just called NVC and they said that my case was physically and electronically forwarded to the consulate in Saigon. From here on however long it takes would be up to the consulate. Wish me luck.
