Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this question but my mother (USC) filed my I-130 and not only took a very long time to be approved but when it was approved they never sent us an approval letter so she to make an appointment to find out the status, now we sent the i-485 on nov and biometrics were done in dec but they didnt even approve or said anything about the employement authorization and thats the leat i need right now so she wants to contact the state rep or senator to have them take a look at it because we dont want to wait 4 years past the date it should have been approved.

Thanks and i apologize if this is not the right place for my question.

What kind of visa did you enter the US with? When did you enter the US? When was the petition filed? How old are you? Are you married? What is your current immigration status? All of this stuff becomes important in determining whether you can adjust status now that your I-130 has been approved.

You may be able to get some assistance from your representatives in the US House of Representatives (congressman) or US Senate (senator). A "state representative" usually refers to someone who is a member of a state legislature. There is nothing a state legislator could do for you.
