Well, I have been through major stress since last night - as the SMS service of the VFS informed me that they have no records of my passport in their system. I called the VFS this morning and demanded to know where my passport is. Curiously they had information pertaining to my visit to the VFS in May last year; but they seemed to have no clue where my passport was this time... I submitted all the required documents on Friday and dealt with a stroppy cow who was trying to intimidate me (unsuccessfully I must add)... anyway I told the supervisor at the VFS that if they did not locate my passport pronto I would inform the British High Commission that my passport has gone missing from their office... they finally traced the passport at the American Consulate... and it seems that the visa has been approved and I will have my passport back by early next week with the visa stamped on it... what a relief!!!

I will not be leaving for the USA immediately as I need to wait for the flashes in my right eye (due to a posterior vitreous humour detachment) to subside. Once I feel better then and then only will I make my way to the arms of my Gypsy (L)

Awesome. Congrats :)

Thanks so much all of you... it really hasn't hit me yet... Paul says I don't sound like I am over the moon... but I just feel a sense of disbelief that this nightmare is over

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

That sounds like me when I found out about Steve being approved. He called me at work, I got all the details but could only stay on the phone for a brief time and I know I didn't sound at all enthused, I got off the phone and broke down in tears of happiness. Had everyone all concerned and then I got a rush of OMG finally!

I am so incredibly happy for you! I read this when I first woke up this morning and instead of sending you my congratulations immediately, (overly emotional as always) went running in to wake Steve up all teary eyed to let him know your news. He sends his congratulations also :)

Hope your eye heals quickly so that you and Paul can be reunited ASAP :)

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
