Which embassy for interview?

Hello everyone, I'm new here...

My fiancee and I are preparing our K-1 and she doesn't live in her birth country which is Philippines, she's living and working in Dubai.

My question is: I was wondering when the time comes for her interview, will she have to go back home to the Philippines for her interview or will she be interviewed in Dubai?

Thank you for any information...

She can have her interview in Dubai if she would prefer that. :) There is a question on the i-129F which allows you to specify which embassy you would like to go through.

Oct. 19, 2010: Sent I-129F packet

Oct. 25, 2010: NOA1

Nov. 05, 2010: Touched

Mar. 01, 2011: Went to Malaysia to be with my fiancé

Mar. 30, 2011: NOA2!

Apr. 08, 2011: Case left NVC

Apr. 12, 2011: Case received by embassy in KL

Apr. 19, 2011: Received Packet 3

May 04, 2011: Received Packet 4

May 06, 2011: Medical examination

May 26, 2011: Interview

RESULT: Administrative Processing

Jun. 18, 2011: Visa received

POE: June 27 @ San Francisco, CA

Married: July 20, 2011

Thank you for your answer and quick response.

After looking at the I-129f, the note says they don't guarentee acceptance for processing at a foreign post.

So my next question is: Does anyone know where I can find out if the embassy in Dubai will accept her interview?

I believe your best option would be to contact to the Embassy.

If Dubai is the correct Consulate/Embassy for the current country of Residence for interviewing K-visas, she will surely be accepted. The Consulate selected but not accepted will arise when there is a closer or preferred Consulate by DoS which you did not select.

Another example is if your fiance is currently in Mexico and you select Mexico City. They will not accept Mexico City and still send your fiance to Ciudad Juarez.

Naturalization N-400
