HALLE-EFFIN-LUJAH! I'm working on my third British husband now -- can't stand the lack of pale skin in my life. :( I need MUCH more whingeing, though I still get it from the ex on a daily basis. It's a poor substitute for the daily top up in person.

For the benefit of those of us who did not grow up on that side of the pond, what the heck is whingeing.. animal vegetable or mineral?

Whingeing is complaining about everything and anything but most particularly the weather. Not for nothing us antipodean's refer to the British (mostly my Mum) as whining POMs.

Sorry, I'm the 'brit' so I can't objectify myself.

Actually, I should come clean: I'm paler than my Limey husband.

My exotic Limey, skin so fair, shiny Docs, raising whinging to high art, parked inside the carpeted, wallpapered pub for the football, downing pints of Stella and using very, very bad language. :luv:(L)

What American female can resist an English accent, eh? (Or Ulster accent for that matter :P )!

Why should I settle for listening to an American male the rest of my life? My God, my husband even snores with an accent! Of course, I'm sure that happens because he sleeps naked...............

Ecuadorian babes, although generally so short that we blow out one or more cervical disks trying to eyeball them, are almost all the hottest of tamales, especially Mrs. T-B., even though most don't know what a tamale is unless they watch Mexican telenovelas in which food is served (and talked about, and described), or visit Mexico personally and confuse all six waiters in a small restaurant in Nuevo Laredo by asking in perfect Spanish what a chalupa is, and all the other things on the menu, with the confusion increasing until the meal is over and the gringo husband musters his entire Spanish vocabulary that does not involve inquiring about the location of the nearest restroom and says to one waiter "My wife is an Ecuatoriana," regarding which the waiter's eyebrows shoot off the top of his head in understanding and he responds "Ah! Si!" and rushes to inform his colleagues of the answer to the mystery, and this is one dickens of a run-on sentence, si man. The chief and usually fatal drawback in regard to Ecuadorian babes, forgivably so in regard to Mrs. T-B. and precious few others, is that no one is a blonde, no man, but of course the last American chick that we dated was a blonde and totally psycho, which caused us to forswear ever dating another American chick, and to hang out only with ourself and the cat until settling on Ecuador as the country of residence of the future Mrs. T-B., whoever she would eventually turn out to be, and waiting for the marriage broker to find us the eventual Mrs. T-B., the first candidate for whom whom we actually wrote to having turned out to be the eventual Mrs. T-B., who, although not a blonde, is the hottest of tamales, and this is another dickens of a run-on sentence, si man.

On the topic of accents. My best friend and I once asked my fiance' just to read us words from the dictionary, because that way we could both swoon to random things said in a sexy Scottish accent. And sometimes I con him into saying random things like 'ach aye lass' and snicker inwardly when he mutters things like '#######' 'bollux' or 'balls' rather than swearing. Oh, and his accent gets thicker when he's drunk, which is just an extra incentive to buy him plenty of booze (although he insists all American bear is 'piss').

Alas, I think he has darker skin than me. Mine has been bleached white by the radiating glow of a computer monitor.

My little Welsh Cake is quite impressed with American microbrews. Sounds like yours need to try some of our NW beers ;)

And even though I'm the USC, I feel I got objectified over in the UK! Little old shop ladies loved hearing me say "California".

But these are swear words - buggering was in fact illegal until not quite so long ago :)

Darn it, I can't objectify my MENA man in here. Perhaps I should restart the Hot Arab Club in the MENA forum. Those Arabs, now they know how to be real men!!

I must say, I remain intrigued by the Hot Arab Club. As in, I assume it was a thread? Was it deleted? How did I miss it?

My interest is purely scholarly.
