I just got my 2nd RFE and they want me to have a bloody syphilis test and tuberculin skin test done at my age. They say they received 693 but no 3025 vaccination supplement which I gave to the cs.they say there is a new version of 693 revised (10/14/09) if medical was conducted after Nov1 2009. The old version will be accepted (06/05/08) if the medical was performed prior to Jan 01 2010. had my medical Sydney in Dec 2009. As far as I can see I am not age appropriate for these 2 tests. Rang USCIS and they were great and she said to send in my vaccination result from Sydney with a letter,. Explaining why do I have to have these . I think my CS here in US did not send my vaccination report from Sydney somehow. Dickhead even though I never met him . My version of 693 is 07/20/10 so I am totally confused.

I am so over USCIS right now

In our case the CS did the I-693, transcribing my wife's little yellow book, we still have the book, and sent the I-693 in when adjusting status.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Yeah Dan the CS transcribed mine over too but must not have out the 3025 in the envelope that I sent with AOS. I will now have to ring AUS and get my medical emailed as it seems they lost it and I am so pissed off this has happened to us. I am freaking 53 and do not need these tests or a whole medical but will if I have to more friggin money as if I have not spent enough as it is.

Syphilis test and tuberculin skin test are not immunizations so if they specifically say that in the RFE, it sounds more like your medical exam from Sydney did not make it to your file. And furthermore if the I-693 immunization section is completed, then it takes the place of a DS-3025 and it doesn't have to go in with AOS. Read the RFE again or copy it word for word.

They lost her medical. The RFE actually says they can't find her DS-3025, 3024, 3026 and 2053. it makes sure to mention the TB and syphillis stuff I think because those rules were recently changed.

I told her (privately) that her options were to:

1. Do a whole new medical

2. Contact the doc in Aus and ask for a copy to be emailed to you

3. Make an infopass appointment to tell them to check your "A" file

4. Contact your congressman/senator and ask them to check your "A" file properly 'cause the medical IS there.

I would personally do #2 first to find out if they even have a copy (some of the docs don't) then if that doesn't work I would do #4 which is basically the same as #3 but better. Then if none of that works I would do #1 as a final resort. Look into prices now. Do you have a copy of your xray? You would have been given the actual x-ray or something so i would take that and any other proof you have of the medical to the senator (if they ask). i would also point out that in Australia you HAVE to have had all that stuff done to get the K1 visa so they HAVE to have it in their records because you gave them the brown envelope at POE.

As it turns out she was able to get a copy of her medical from her Aus physician and hopefully USCIS will accept that copy.

As Vanessa said below Nich I was able to ring Sydney and get my medical sent to me by email. yay!! and yes the RFE specifically mentions TB and Syphilis test to be done and yes I know these aren't vaccinations. But I looked in my xray envelope which I have here with me and the Tb results and Syphilis results were in there . SO I sent the whole medical plus my Ds 3025 and the xray and blood test results(copies). SO they have it all now and the letter says although we have I-693 we do not have vaccinations report and want these 2 tests done so yes looks like they lost my medical between MO and CSC. When I had my visa interview in Sydney they lost one of my husbands divorce decrees but only told me on the day which is why I was held up getting my visa. This decree went missing between NVC and Sydney consulate. SO am not real happy with them right now as I feel this is really incompetent.

When I landed in LA and went through customs all my medical was there.

The problem is that you yourself are supposed to send in a copy of the 3025 ALONG with the 693. Stop trying to blame someone else for your mistake .

They have told you what to do, if you can not produce another copy of the 3025 , then you will have to have the tests done as requested.

Actually Baron you are wrong.

1. You DON'T need to send the 3025 WITH the 693.

2. As I stated, her RFE states the MEDICAL is MISSING. When she went through POE they opened the packet in front of her and she SAW the medical in there.. so they've lost it.

She isn't blaming someone else for her mistake. USCIS lost her medical... how is that her fault?

You can be such an #### sometimes as I have read many of your posts and I did send a bloody 3025 with my 693. It is not my mistake at all they lost it between MO and CSC as it was all there at POE so get over yourself till you know the facts and read the post properly.

Thankyou Vanessa and an update I got this morning

Got a text and email today to say they have received my RFE information and my case has been updated. Expect to hear within 60 days by mail of a decision or if they need more information. MMMM we will see now

Barbara J - cool ! smells like some closure.

I truly hate the disconnect on medical packets 'gathered at the POE'.

This is the sort of issue that needs to be completely overhauled with K-1 visas. It's literally because one Government agency doesn't trust another. Why don't the panel physicians complete both the DS-3025 for interview AND the I-693 for adjustment?

The simple fact is that we cannot obtain a K-1 visa without having undergone all these steps. If we have provided proof of our visa (which you're required to do) then WHY do they need you to regurgitate evidence provided?

It's the same with the GC interview and documents requested. I had to prove I was legally free to marry when I applied for my K-1. Why does the IO need to see my original divorce decree? No one has seen an original of my new marriage cert, so that's understandable. But it's nuts for them to request anything that's already been inspected by an Agent of the US Government, whatever department/ office they work for.

No wonder they're broke... they should invest in shares in tree farms, the amount of paper that's duplicated.

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

:thumbs:Oh I am so with you on this SunDrop it is crazy I know exactly what you mean. Like our petition would never have been approved either if all my now husbands divorce decrees were not there right ? SO when I go to interview in Sydney they say they are missing on which mean they lost it from US to Sydney. But I had to get express post from US to Sydney as they would not accept a copy unless it was certified (gggrrr) and then they sat on it for a week until I emailed and asked if they had received it . My second email I got the visa in 24 hours lol And I agree without this medical and these tests done I would not have got a visa anyways. I am with you on all accounts. Yay to some bloody common sense.

Your right Darnell sounds promising now hey it was lucky I could get medical copy and I found my results here that I had. SO now I wait and trust me you will know when I am approved lol for GC LMAO :PB-):D
