Besides, when you get a tattoo you only surprise your SO the first time you show it. After that it's no longer a surprise. I'd rather surprise my SO more often by bringing her random small gifts like flowers, candy, jewelry and books than doing something "big" a few times in a lifetime.

yeah, I don't understand how getting a tat of anyone is a gift to that person...hehehe. Because it proves something...?? I wouldn't feel special if hubster got one with my name (not that he would anyway). I'd rather feel special by the everyday small things that he does.

We wanted to make something special, but not our names. So we ended up choosing our nicknames, and in chinese symbol. It means a lot to us, and its not to proove anything, just because we wanted it, and it looks pretty. No one can read it really, other than those japanese guys that work with him

I did it after we got engaged. Never regretted it for a moment. Luz still looks at it and says "thats me!!". I may get another to commemorate our wedding.

I posted in this thread earlier saying I wanted to get a tattoo. Well since then I've gotten two, neither of which is Javi's name. I've heard people say it's a jinx. I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing it. I am currently trying to decide on the design for my next tattoo. I would like to incorporate Javi into it, but I would never use his name.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

A jinx, huh? When I was 21, I got a rose and my own name tatooed on my shoulder blade. I always said it was in case I was found dead in an alley and someone needed to identify me. So far, I haven't hexed myself with it.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Are you implying that it might not be true love?
