Wealthy people on the Left also "secretly" gather to plot strategy, they also donate to causes they believe in.

I have noticed a "hard left" push to do everything they can to stifle peoples right to assemble, speech, conduct perfectly legal activities.

While without question true in some instances, absolutely and utterly false in many others. Their are a wide range of causes for poverty. There are many people who were comfortable middle class until their jobs were shipped to China or India. Others faced unexpected family illness. Your stereotype gives you a convenient way to pretend to virtue while ignoring the plight of those who your Jesus (for those of you pretending to be Christians) commanded you to look after. You better pray that such bad fortune does not come knocking on your door!

The number one cause for poverty in america is being a single unwed mother.So from a womans view she should pick her husband for the long term and keep her legs shut if she cannot find a good man. Uncle sam has become the daddy of choice for most women. This goes on for generation and generation.

biologically, it would seem far more pertinent to more strongly admonish men to avoid having sex with women that they do not desire to share the responsibilities of having a child with, and fork over significant sums of cash for 18+ years in order to raise that possible progeny, as is their legal requirement whether they like it or not. it's a far more pressing issue for males, who can impregnate numerous women in the nine months it takes most women to carry a single pregnancy to term.

As I was growing up yes I did. I remember it was common for people on food stamps(back when it was paper money) to go store to store buying 10 cent pieces of candy so that they could get 90 cents back in real money and if done enough times they would have money to get cigarettes and alcohol.

Sigh. I think a balanced view would be to admit and accept that there is abuse in the system. And that not every person on food stamps or welfare shares the same stereotyped life story either. There is a cycle in certain communities that has been going on for decades. Until the mindset is changed and more people are educated, I don't see how the cycle will stop. Meanwhile there are hard working people who need help for shorter periods of time. How can anyone lump every user of food stamps into the same category? It's not even logical.

From my own personal experiences, I have seen varied lifestyles of those who get food stamps. One person I know was complaining about the US sending aid to Haiti after the earthquake over there because they want more help for them self. Turns out she already gets lots of help, is a single mom, has made many bad choices in life, and can never find a job. I have known her since we were young. She definitely had opportunities back in the day. I could say the same for several single moms I know from the past who I went to church or school with. Some are definitely taking advantage of aid because they will live with their "fiance" for years but not marry because they know it will take away their govt support. I wouldn't even say this all happened due to the past couple years of unemployment problems - it's been ongoing before that. And most of them actually grew up in middle class households with both parents present.

On the other hand, it would be very ignorant to assume the same situations for everyone who uses food stamps. I also have known hard working people who fell on hard times.
