I am lucky enough to have my fiance and his willing father co-sponsor my K-1 Visa. I am wondering though if I could alternatively get my half brother to sponsor me. My brother is NOT a US citizen, his mother is, but he is Canadian working in the states on a VISA and has been for over 10 years, all of his bank accounts and financial comings are all through the US banking system. Im curious because it states "Friends or Family." Just wondering if this qualifies or not. Thanks!

For the I-134 it is possible for a non US citizen or LPR (green card holder) to be a sponsor. For the I-864 used when you would be adjusting status that sponsor must be a USC or LPR.

No, sponsors and/or cosponsors must be either US Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents.
