Hi folks,

I am a K-1 visa holder and filing SS-5 for a SSN.

I have a question, on item 5, are we legal alien allowed to work or NOT ?

Im confused as I dont have the EAD so currently I cannot work but As a K-1 I will be allowed to work.

It's not a big deal but I just wnt to know before going to the SSA and not create confusion.

You tick the "work authorised" box because for SSA purposes a K1 is work authorised

Don't worry about it. The office doesn't need the Form SS-5. Everything will be entered into the computer based on the evidence provided and answers to the questions asked.
