Im all set with all the forms and documents, except for one..the I-864..

My sister is a co-sponsor and a week ago she requested for her tax incomes, w2 from IRS. To be exact, weve been waiting for 1week and 3days already and havent recieved any mail from IRS.

I was planning to file everything last January 31st including I-130, I-485 and I-765 etc. But i failed, coz i had to wait for my sister's I-864 to be completed. I dont wanna file everything without the required docs for the I-864 coz if i do i will surely get an RFE and it will make it worse and delays the process.

So i guess all i have to do is wait! ;(

Check this website http://www.irs.gov/localcontacts/index.html, if your sister lives close to one of these offices, she might just go there and grab it. It took me less than 15 minutes to get my IRS tax transcript from the local IRS office

It will get to you by the end of this week. Remember there has been inclement weather that has delayed mail in some areas.

My husband received his within a week of the request so maybe you will get it by tomorrow. Don't count the weekend as those days are not considered business days.

When I requested my transcripts from the IRS it took somewhere in the area of 10 days to 2 weeks. I don't think it will be much longer.

My sister lives in NC and its an hour and a half drive to get to the irs local office. But yeah hopefully she'll receive it by tomorrow.. sucks coz once she recieve it she has to mail it forward to me here in SD. (Including the I-864 signed by her)

Your sister had the option to have the tax transcripts faxed to her, but it looks as if she chose to have then mailed, once she has received them she can again choose the option to over-night everything to you.

Don't worry this is just one small thing in the big picture.... the real wait happens when you file the AOS

Consider this thing a very small step in the big picture. Best thing to do is continue on with your life and know this is all a waiting game

BUT Before you know it the forms will be in your mall, and then you can send off you AOS packet OK.
