Timeline

Hello everybody i am a k-1 september filer NOA1 dated september 8, 2010. My petition is still pending in uscis and time period of approving K-1 petion is 5 motnhs as mentioned at uscis website. I have called uscis to inquire about my case but they are saying that they are processing 16 august petitions. They didnt put my service request and i have not tried again to put in today. I am planning to contact my congress(wo)man. Can sumbody help me is there any harm in contacting a congress(wo)man. What should i do do help me out plzzzz should i contact congress(wo)man or bug uscis everyday for approval. Thx in advance..

Contacting your congressperson can only help, not hurt. While contacting your congressperson, you should keep calling USCIS and request to talk to a Tier 2 customer service representative instead of the first ones that answer. Good luck.
