My Attourney charged $1,500.00 to do the paperwork for me. What did your Attourney Charge ? LOL

Hmmm, I think around the same... The whole fee includes the AOS paperwork etc. So he hasn't received the rest of the payment....yet :/.

Hey Everyone,

It has been 6 months (yesterday) since we received our NOA1. Still nothing, no word from USCIS. Obviously I am very upset with my lawyer for lying about the whole process in the first place, but I will save my rant for another post. If we have a lawyer, does that mean we can't speak to USCIS ourselves? When we called last time they gave us a run around and I am wondering if that was because we have a lawyer doing the paperwork and they can only speak to him. If we can talk on our behalf, who do we talk to? Those drones (USCIS)are of no use!

Please, no rude comments about this being a self help site... We are beginning to get frustrated and could really use some (positive) advice.

Thank-you.

weather u call them or not..they gonna process ur petition... i got my NOA2 2days before my 7months :) VERMONT.. so calmdown..:)

Wow, that's good business these lawyers are into. I'm sure they come on this site to get info as well. I would consider the business opportunity.

Lol, I was told by border patrol that most immigration lawyers come to them for help :P

OMG. My Attourney wants another $1,000.00 for AOS. After she arrives. (if she arrives) I'll just keep my hopes up. I 'm happy with my Attourney though. I had a few Rusty Nails in my past 20 years ago and would not do this alone.

Why not just do the rest yourself and save that money?

I kind of doubt that. Most of the lawyers we hear about on VJ, with a few exceptions, seem to be clueless putzes/scam artists. IMO.

Yes TERO. After the NOA2 I will attempt the completion of the paperwork. However, if I fell in doubt I will keep my Attourney. I won't take a risk. Whats $2,500.00 anyway!

OMG, Timbo... LOL Now you're going to have to "sell all your clutter in house" just to pay your attorney! LOL LOL

Mari

PS: Its not nice to ask a woman's age or how much she paid for something and then expect her to answer! LOL REMEMBER THAT cuz your wife [to be] is on her way!
