Our interview will be this thursday, I submitted my DS-3025 but I didnt went to civil surgeon to get I-693. Is there a possibility to get RFE during interview? My medical done overseas is still valid and the records are "not age appropriate" or "insufficient time interview"

Please give some comment, thanks. :unsure:

Did you submit a copy of the medical I-693 with your AOS package?? if yes then you don't need to take another one with you to the interview. And yes it is possible to get an RFE at the interview if you're missing a doc they want to see...Good Luck on thursday!!

Good luck! Did u have ur medical here? In most cases RFE's u get if ever is the I-693 but i hope not.

When i had my AOS interview..the interviewer told me the medical exam is usually the most commom RFE's. I had another medical here in the US even though my medical in St. Lukes was only 2 months old. Let us know.

I had my medical last July. I cant go to civil surgeon yet cos I am not yet covered with my husband's health insurance and civil surgeon in our place charges $300 just for visit and additional fees for shots and x-ray. :crying:

A civil surgeon isn't covered by insurance anyway. So even when you're ON the insurance they won't cover it.

#2. You don't NEED a new medical. You only need the vaccination transcription. No x-ray, no TB test and only the shots that you are missing.

We had our interview today and the IO never asked for the I-693. It was quick interview but never told us if we were approved or not and tell us that she will review my k-1 papers but let us signed a piece of paper saying:

" Pursuant to section 216 of the Immgration and Nationality Act, you have been granted conditional permanent residence in the United States as of the dare that you were admitted or adjusted to such status by an officer of the Citizenship and Immgration Services. You and your spouse must file a joint petition to have the conditional basis of your status removed; the petition must be filed within the 90-day period immediately preceding the second anniversary of the date you were granted conditional permanent residence status. If a petition to remove the conditional basis of your status is not filed within this period your conditional permanent resident status will be terminated automatically and you will be subject to deportation from the United states."

Nope, thats fine! It means you'll get your green card! And in two years, you'll file again to have the conditions removed :) CONGRATULATONS!!! :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)
