Hello, everybody!

My AOS interview is coming up next week in San Juan Puerto Rico. I have searched through this website looking for somebody who has his/her interview here, but I came up with no results.

Has anybody done his AOS in Puerto Rico? If so, can you please share the experience. Any answers are greatly appreciated. (F)

Thank you and good luck to all of you.

Dara

Sorry that I can´t help, but I would appreciate if you posted your experience here afterwards, since PR is where I am going to live and where I´ll have my AOS.

Good luck to you too!

I had the interview today and we were approved. We were scheduled for 8.00 AM. We got there at 7.40 and at 7.50 we were invited in. The interviewer, a lady, was professional, but nice and friendly. She swore us in, checked our IDs and then asked how we met. She asked for proof of our relationship, we showed her joint account statements, joint health insurance, phone bills and photos from our honeymoon trip to New York. She was a New York native, so from that moment on we talked about New York, things to see and do there.

She then asked me (the non-USC) the "no" questions from the I 485 form and then approved our application. She also explained us about the removal of the conditions procedure.

All in all we were in there for 25 min and it was nice and easy.

I wish everybody else who is still waiting the best of luck. God bless!

Thank you Laura, I am sure they will be just as nice to you as they were to us. The lady asked me in which language I prefer to talk and I said English. My Spanish is OK, but my English is definitely better so I didn't want to take any chances. To my husband she addressed a couple of questions in Spanish, though, cause he is Puertorican. The lady spoke perfect English and Spanish, so I am pretty sure that all the interviewing officers there are fluent in both languages. Also, since you are from Brasil, which is not a Hispanic country, they will offer you the choice between Engilsh or Spanish, just as they did to me.

I wish you and everybody else the best of luck and have a safe trip to beautiful Puerto Rico.
