Long story short I came to the U.S when i was 12 on a visa waiver with my paretns and have stayed ever since Im 21 years old now married to a U.S Citizen AOS status thru U.S Spouse and our interview is tomorow Im really nervous!

I joined this forum in the very begining when i was worried about applying for aos from an overstayed visa waiver since Iam aware that certain states are denying visa waiver overstays. I talked to many people some that got approved from vwp Im also aware of the risk but being here illegally is no way to live Im sick of living in the shadow

Im really praying and hoping that tomorow will go good!

I will post an update after the interview

Good luck! I feel bad for people in your situation where your parents have brought you and now have put you at risk (and its not like Germany is a third world country that they had to stay in the US for such a time). Unfortunately you did not adjust just a few years sooner, now you'll have a ban if you are not approved.

I am under stress as ive overstayed a whoppping 25 years as I came to the us when i was 3 years old. I thought i

was born here until I wanted to get my drivers license. I married my high school sweetheart and now have filed for aos. Story a little similar to yours. Please help ease my nerves as I have been living a lie due to my circumstances. Please let me know what questions I may expect.

Here is my Interview Experience

When we were walking towards the USCIS Building we saw a few people come out with upset faces, I was already so nervous and when i saw that i was even more nervous, we checked in with out Attorney recieved restaurant style buzzer within 10 minutues our Buzzer went off, we walked up and there was the IO officer, he did not look friendly i for sure thought Ok great this is probably not going to go good...

He swore us in asked me questions if i have ever been involved in a terrorist group etc... I told the truth and said No

he then asked me when my husbands birthday was , What town we got married in,

asked if we had anything joint together bank accounts etc.. since i had gotten my EAD just a few days ago I did not get a chance to apply for SS# therfore I was not able to be put on any bills or bank accounts we explained that to the Officer and he seemed understanding

the only thing we did have was filled joint taxes which helped out alot! also when we first got our house we have pictures infront of the house,

he asked to see my visa waiver, Looked thru all of our pictures we had alot! he made some copies and then he said Congratulations Im approving your application You will recieve you Green card in the mail etc.....

He did keep

Reciepts from wedding rings

Copies of pictures

Cards

My husband and I were sooo Relieved when he told me he had approved me!

I'm still in shock and its sooo unreal to me, I had to make a really hard decision if i should go thru with this or not i was told by many attorneys that I would be taking a big risk trying to AOS from the overstayed visa waiver but i went for it! Im truly blessed that it turned out this way!!!!
