Hello All,

My friend told me about this site and she is right, this site is very helpful. I am just wondering if anyone knows here about the requirements to petition my mother. I tried reading the instruction at uscis site but I cannot find any posting about the requirements. Anyway so far, I have :my birth certificate, form 1-130, passport, naturalization certificate and I am still waiting for my moms birth certificate. Do I have need to have passport photos of her? How about Affidavit of support? and Letter from my employer?...Our case is slightly different, I am my mom's daughter out of wedlock but I am using my father's last name and she got married so obviously we do not have the same last name. So do I have to provide any evidence that she is my mother? Thank you very much for your help...

Doesn't your BC have your mothers name on it, Doesn't here BC have her madien name on it, this is where they should cross match. simple...

If you are just starting to file, the employer information is not needed at this stage. It will be needed when your petition has been approved and it is at the NVC stage. Refer to the guide tab above, it gives very good detailed directions.
