Immigration lines at the airport

I just got back from visiting my little lady in Korea. I asked the woman at the customs and immigration desk if I can go through the visa/green card line and she said YES, but it will take longer. Has anyone else gone through the line with a K1 visa holder?

These guys all seem to have different answers. One guy got mad at me for not declaring my candy, and then the guy at the declaration line told me candy didn't need to be declared and to go through the nothing line. I'm not really putting much stock into the immigration desk lady's comment...

She commented on how much more time it would take in that line. I was about to tell her that we would be traveling together, but I got my answer and she seemed ready to stamp the next guy's passport.

Pick the shortest line. At LAX the put us in the USC line. Kind of depends on what's going on at the POE at that time.

Worked great for us. CBP officer had married her husband on a K1 so it was a breeze!

Both times that Elena came to see me on her tourist visa, she got through JFK rather quickly. It was probably luck since I have seen obscene non-citizen lines there at times that I breezed right through the citizen line.

Usually USC/Greencard line is the shortest.

The CBP person who got mad over the candy is an idiot and should re-read the declaration card you fill out. Asks for meats, cheeses, fruits, seeds, nuts. Not Candy.
