Hi everyone:

I am about to send off my I-130. This is an easy question compared to all the mess that comes later, however, I see a lot of conflicting information online. Do we attach all with ACCO fasteners or with paper clips? One goverment site says "with ACCO fasteners" and hole punched. The other site says, "WITHOUT." What have you all done? Just want to make it as perfect as possible.

Thanks!

and i didn't see anywhere about clips, holes, paper clips in the I130 instructions either?

i think common sense would prevail here.

Great thanks! I guess anything well organized with paperclips or acco fasteners is great and will get us approved. No worry in the conflicting government information online.

Thanks!

We used the acco fasteners for ours. Looks nice and neat and makes it very easy for USCIS to browse through. I think it may be their most preferred method of keeping the file together, however you can still use clips just fine.

We used clips and were fine. They will reassemble your file to suit themselves, so the easier for them the better. Good luck on your journey!

Neat looking doesn't count. They don't browse--they disassemble everything and run every page through a scanner, so just make it easy to take apart, and then they reassemble the way they seem fit--not at all in your original order.
