For those that have had their interview already, you might be able to help me. When you go to your interview with your spouse, do they interview both together or are we separated and interview in different rooms?

You can ask the interviewer if your spouse can come into the interview. Some seem to let them some don't. All you can do is ask if they can come in with you, if they say no then your spouse will just have to wait outside in the waiting room for you.

Likely you will be in the same room. usually the only times separation occurs is when a stokes interview view is being done. keep in mind that cities where marriage fraud is a problem that might me the set up from the start.

You can ask the interviewer if your spouse can come into the interview. Some seem to let them some don't. All you can do is ask if they can come in with you, if they say no then your spouse will just have to wait outside in the waiting room for you.

For AOS interviews based on marriage, your spouse MUST come. Usually the interview is held with you both together, although in rare cases they separate the couple at the first interview and ask them questions separately. Most people are really satisfied with their AOS interviews, and most reports are that the IOs are polite and professional and put them at ease. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

We just went today, and my husband and I were interview together in the same room. We brought all the documents they asked for on the appointment letter, and that was sufficient. The interview went smoothly. They went over the information on the I-485, like the names of my husband's parents, where we currently live, the security questions (drug cartels, terrorism, military experience, etc.), and where I currently work. We also made a little small talk. Overall, the interview was to the point, and we had a positive experience.
