Do they do drugs tests on the USC anytime during AOS?

Hiya Everyone,

I have a question. I thought months ago I read somewhere that there was a drugs test involved during the adjustment of status process at some point. Is that true? if so are they testing the foreigner or the USC?

I hadn't heard of that but here's a good way to not have problems: don't do drugs!

Naaa, not that I know. They do test at the K1 medical. I don't know if they do that again if you have to do another medical in the US prior to the AOS interview. I - personally - haven't heard of it yet and also I don't do drugs so there's nothing to worry. If you, however have any reason to worry, stop taking the drug. Sounds easy - it probably isn't, I know. All the best anyway.

I did not get drug tested for the K1 Medical. I dont do drugs, never have never will.

Im not sure about the AOS through.

I'm not on drugs except for prescription but my fiance (USC) takes Marijuana for pain related to his illness as alternative therapy. Thank you for the advice.

They don't do drugs testing on the USC at any point -- since medicinal marijuana is legal in California, there shouldn't be a problem anyway since there's no breaking of the law going on!
