Dear Members, Those more senior members perhaps you could help us out with a couple of tax questions. For instance can you claim the fees for a I-129f application? Can you claim for AOS fees? and can you claim for supporting your new spouse?

I would appreciate any input.

I dont believe that any of the fees associated with immigrating are tax deductable, however, if you are supporting your spouse, then that spouse will be listed as a dependant when you file. Generally though, you do get some tax breaks when you are married as apposed to being single.

I believe Spouse and WIFE can not claim as dependent unless she has a child and u supporting the child too. For

I don't think so because immigration fees are your personal expenses.

As momsjourney stated, your I-129f and AOS are personal living expenses and therefore are not deductible on your tax return. Since your spouse is considered as a Non-resident Alien for income tax purposes in 2010 I would suggest your read this thread:
