kathryn is highly respected by a significant majority of both long term and new members for her fair and even handedness. the numbers of those calling for her ouster are very small - namely, you.

Word. Out of all the moderators, I'm floored that anyone would want to get rid of Kathryn. :blink: Although frankly, I don't see a problem with any of the team. They all do a tough job for ZERO money. Cut them some slack and they'll do likewise.

If they see a report, they can do one of two things.

They can address it or they can log off and go play with their kid or make love to their wife.

No one has that option on any job.

So let's stop calling it that.

Don't get caught up in semantics. Call it Shirley if you want, the point still stands.

One inappropriate comment has been removed. It is not necessary to make personal attacks to get your point across.

. . . and just for the record so as there is no misunderstanding, when a report comes in I don't sign off to go and 'make love to my wife' :bonk: and my 'kid' lives with her kids nearly a 1000 miles away so it is rather difficult to arrange time to play with her - just so everyone is clear on that.

If it's not a job, there is no expectation to get paid. There is no point, just a stupid little cliche.

"Work" doesn't have to be a job that pays money. I often "work" in my garden for free.

Having read this thread through, I haven't seen a compelling reason yet to replace any of the moderators. The work (and it is!) they do here is thankless and difficult. There's only one reason a person does something thankless and difficult for free, and that's a passion for, in this case, the community.
