You will receive a hard copy of the approval from USCIS. The approval tells you it is being sent to NVC.

It took us a couple weeks to receive our hard copy. I think it's different for everyone.

Our I-129f was approved last week. Should we epect to receive the hard copy of the approval itself? Whereho will it come - USCIS or National Visa Center? Any idea about time frame?

The petitioner will be sent the hard copy of NOA2 approval and then the petition is sent to NVC to create a case number takes a bout a week and then forwarded on to Sydney, You and petitioner will be notified of packet 3 , they actually sent it to my then fiance in USA and he emailed it to me. So now you can get things together and be organised when it comes. Look at US consulate Sydney and it will tell you what doctors to see for your medical in your area and get police report done as it takes a few weeks to get back. You can get all this done now while you are waiting. I had all mine done so when packet 3 arrived I had it all together and sent the same day.

Actually, I just picked up my NOA2 hard copy moments ago. It states that the petition "has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance,....".

So, here are a couple of quick ones I could get answered by USCIS, but they are closed now. I just want something before Monday:

Does this mean it was not sent to the National Visa Center but directly to the consulate?

Don't all approvals go there first (to the National Visa Center)?

Finally, on the NOA2 form, they listed my Green Card number even though I am now a U.S.Citizen. Did everybody's come like that?

All petition approvals are sent to NVC in new Hampshire then they go to consulate in Australia. It has to be given a case number from NVC first as the number we get on approval is only receipt number.

Not sure why your approval had your green card number as I tried to add attachment here to show you mine but couldn't but the only number that should be on there is your receipt number top left corner and beneficiaries Alien number next to her name.
