At first i didn't want to reply cos i got tired of trying to explain myself and i am not going to argue with anyone anymore cos it's there clearly on USCIS website and i spoke to at least 4 lawyers b4 i settled for the one i used and all told me about the brief/casual absence and what you are telling me is that i got approved cos the IO that interviewed me is either stupid or ignorant of the immigration law or i am lying. Which ever is right, i know i got approved and i will not respond to anything again, it's a free world and you can believe whatever you want, it's ok. I still stand by my original post that if anyone is not sure about anything, pls don't confuse us. Everyone's case is different

Surely one of those lawyers can tell you which section of the law would have forgiven your overstay and allowed you to reenter without being banned.

Your original post essentially says people should shut up because you proved they were wrong by being successful. You haven't proven anything because you haven't told anyone WHY you were successful. Until you've done that then you aren't helping anyone on this forum. You're just wagging your finger in everyone's face and saying "I told you so".

I'm going to stop playing cat and mouse with you, and ask you pointedly - how did you manage to be readmitted to the United States after leaving with an accumulated overstay long enough to trigger a ban? Please don't quote section 245(i) to me because that exception applies only to your eligibility to adjust status. Knowing how you did this would be critically important information to other members in the same situation. If you are Canadian, and entered without being screened by CBP, then that would explain everything. Your experience would not be useful or applicable to anyone except other Canadians.
