My online status is still sitting at "oath queue". Weird. :blink:

I wanna try and apply for the passports right after the ceremony if I have time. Searched for acceptance facilities in the area, most close at 3-3.30 pm, so I'm not sure I'll make it. Would be nice though, I wouldn't have to pull the kids out of school again.

Make some photocopies of your cert first - you will be sending it away with the passport and might now have it back for a few weeks

Oh, today I got a letter from social security confirming that my status was updated to citizen and that no new card would be issued (I had already removed the DHS language when I became a resident)

I just received mine too, but I got a new card, even though the guy at the ceremony said mine was fine. Mine was changed when I became a PR. The new card hasa date issued that the old ones don't have.

Yes, the one I got in 2008 has the issue date on it too. So maybe that's why they didn't issue a new one.

I changed mine last year to get rid of the DHS language, and it has an issue date on it. The old one (from 2006) doesn't. I never noticed, ha.
