My senator's office called today, asking if I'd be willing to take my oath in a town about an hour away. Fine with me, I said. lol They're going to contact me again as soon as they get a hold of Chicago's district office. Hopefully this means I'm getting somewhere.

Congrats N400-2011!!!

Passport applied for at the passport agency in Manhattan. Didn't pay for expedite service or overnight delivery but was told I should have it in 5 business days. Surprisingly there was no line there, I don't think people know that it's passport day today.

That's awesome! Did you go to "the" passport agency at 376 Hudson Street? I just looked into it and thought that you need to have proof of travel plans within two weeks. http://manhattan.about.com/od/citylife1/a/howtopassport.htm I was just going to go to a post office that's closer to my home / work but if it saves a lot of time (and the $60 expedite fee) I might go to the passport agency instead.

Yes, I went to Hudson Street - it was open on Saturday because it was Passport Day so no appointment was needed and no travel itinerary either. There was also no line - I don't think people knew about it since it had been postponed before. If you go to the agency (open Mon - Fri), you need proof of travel within two weeks and should call for an appointment. Pity you couldn't have gone on Saturday!

Still nothing :bonk:

I'm at 42 days after the interview right now. I guess I'll wait till two weeks before the October Oath, which would be 9 days from now, and then call, if I have not gotten anything by then.

Ha! We will see if the agent was just pulling my leg or not! The one positive thing is that, as of yesterday, I could pull up the passport application status on the website...so maybe...
