Great news, Mae! I'm so happy for you. I think I've broke the record for the longest wait between interview and oath letter among the February filers. 2 1/2 months and waiting. My senator is involved and when I called for follow-up today I was told I would hear back soon. Apparently it can take up to 30 days from when they receive your request for assistance. Congrats to everyone else who's moving forward!!

They're certainly taking their sweet time with you...

Hope you hear the good news soon! I'm not giving up on being the last Feb applicant to be done just yet

You might notice that my interview was scheduled 3.5 months after fingerprinting and 2.5 months after the YL. So I wouldn't worry just yet, and it certainly was way too early for you to call them.

I don't think it's a deviation from the norm. Someone in the June thread just got a YL after their interview had been scheduled, which is plain odd IMO

Thanks, winterpassing! Hope you'll finally hear from them very soon. I know exactly how you feel. It was almost 2 mos for me from interview till this case status notification and it took a toll on me from getting too impatient. You see, now that I have been scheduled, it wouldn't matter if the ceremony would be on Christmas day. At least I know that I have a ceremony to go to. Not having a date to hold on to is such a pain. You know what I mean?

Yes, I sure do. lol I wish I would have just asked my IO to schedule me for a ceremony in Chicago instead of my home town. Bet that would have taken months (!) off of my waiting.

I was actually told by the IO that they only get you to come to the field office if the home town is packed full for the next few months. Seems to make sense, since the big city would have more applicants in their court district than a smaller one to begin with, and you have better chances to get naturalized sooner in your district.

Anyway, most of the time the USCIS ignores their own logic

It's been 45 days, go ahead and call them.

I CALL THE 1800 NUMBER AND TALK TO A REP AND ASK HER TO PLEASE CONNECT ME TO ANY CLASS 2 OFFICER AND SHE DID THAT, AND THE OFFICER TOLD ME I`M STILL UNDER TESTING AND INTERVIEW AND I EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT I DID THAT ALREADY AND PASSED BUT THE INTERVIEWER GAVE ME THAT DECISION CAN NOT BE MADE AT THIS TIME, AND IS PASS 45 DAYS I DID`NT HEAR ANYTHING AND HE TOLD ME THEY MADE A DECISION ON 8/15 AND APPROVE MY CASE AND I SHOULD EXPECT TO HEAR FROM THEM WITHING 2 WEEKS. BUT STILL MY STATUS IS TESTING AND INTERVIEW. MY QUESTION IS WILL IT STAY LIKE THAT OR MY STATUS WILL CHANGE.

If the notice is mailed, a few days. If they just approved you but have not scheduled the ceremony yet, who knows. I was told by the IO that inside 45 days was the norm. I got the message "put in the oath scheduling queue" four days after the interview, but my petition was approved on the spot.

thank u for your info David-and-Mae today is my 7th week hopefully i get it soon, because they said is approved on 8/15 but still did`nt get any mail or text so i crossed my fingers waiting to hear from them, and Pray everything goes quick, Anyway i get a driving ticket of $170. early last year but payed for it on phone do i need to go and get the receipt before the oath day?

Didn't you submit the receipt with your application or bring it to the interview, if it happened last year? You should have. If not, definitely get the receipt and bring it to the ceremony.

hey guys, a question.

this has been a crappy day for me. got into an accident in a parking lot while backing out of a parking space. the other person behind me decided to back out too and as a result their and mine right taillights are busted. anyway, I believe it's a no-fault, there was no cops involved, no tickets since it's a private parking lot, her and me exchanged the insurance info.

What I'm wondering is do I have to report that before or at the oath?
