Actually the thread from yesterday in which that question was asked, was asking why a specific suicide attack on a US tank crew (based on a posted video) was being framed in specifically religious terms. BTW - I don't think any of these groups (of whatever faith) can be considered in any way genuinely 'religious'.

It does seem strange though that when talking about muslim terrorist groups, the inevitable reaction is to look for justifications as to how Islam is an intrinsically evil religion. Conversely, when presented with an equivalent "Christian" fundamentalist group, the very same people don't go off on a similar anti-christian rant and actually deny that the groups motivations (however misguided or corrupted) are religious in nature.

yes, erekose, i'm sure the individual who was in that video did it for money, drugs, whatever, but not for religious reasons

Mostly known for kidnapping young children to use as rebel fighters or sex slaves and terrorizing fellow Africans in the name of Christianity.

Well, thank God, it looks like they'll give back the children they stole and agree to this cease fire in exchange for not being prosecuted for these heinous crimes.

Deplorable actions indeed, and definately not something I would/will condone. Thanks for the find VP
