My husband went last Friday to get his I-693 filled out so he can send out his AOS application. He brought a copy of his medical from the Vancouver consulate in Canada. He had never even opened the envelope. When he got there and gave them the medical papers, they told him he had not had his Hep B Vaccinations and he had to get them done there in order for them to fill out the I-693. He did not get the vaccinations there because he was sure he already had them. He came home and we requested his vaccination records from his doctor in Canada, and he has, in fact, had all his Hep B vaccinations. Why would this not be on the medical records from his exam in Vancouver for the K-1 Visa? When we called back the civil surgeons office, they told him they could not accept the vaccination records showing he had all his Hep B vaccinations, and that he also needs a TB skin test and blood work done before they can fill out the I-693. Where do we go from here? He's calling USCIS and also calling the Vancouver consulate. How could he get into the states without having these things on his medical in the first place? Has anyone else had this same problem?

If I were you I would try another CS because my husband did not complete the Hepatitis series before he left his country and is due to have the last shot of the series in March. That was the only thing that was not finshed before he left. I believe that Varicella, tdap and MMR are the only required vaccines they must have before they enter the US. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. try another CS maybe that one is trying to rip you off there is a thread in the AOS forum that list reasonable CS in certain areas and almost all areas are listed there....Good Luck!!!

Thank you. We might try a different one, but the CS we used was one from that thread. :(

Thank you! He called them back, apparently the woman was just confused and they're letting him come in to do the I-693. PHEW!

The blood test and TB skin test aren't required as they are part of the medical and you're just having a vaccination transcription.
