hello all, we have sent in our petition, and they have received it and we have gotten our NOA1, but the last time the have updated it was dec 10, 2010. how long does this usually take? why have they not updated it in so long? is there a number where i can reach them and get some answers about this? i used to work with the government in the military and i know how these things run. but for them not to have any advance in almost 2 months is very troubling. i'm not a demanding person but this is the lives of two people here they are dealing with. maybe its paper to them but this is mine and hers life. i would seriously like for them to take a more active approach to this matter. i'm sorry if its sounds like i am complaining, or if i'm spoiled (though i am not). its just that i know how government works. and even though they are the fastest in the world, its not normal for them to be this slow. thank you all so much for all your information in the past. and thank you all so much for all your support

Based on your timeline, you guys are still within the USCIS average processing time. Not much you can do except wait at this point...in case your waiting time has gone for more than 5 months, only then can you attempt to find out what the hold up is.

For real man, it is not only your case with USCIS. Sit back and wait plz, first come first serve. Are u expecting your case to process faster cuz u in military? There are lots info on USCIS to let u know how long u will have wait. If u call them they will tell u the same answer is to wait... Sometime it would even longer if you dont have enough evidence or missed mail a form. AVERAGE wait TIME is 5 months...and that is AVERAGE. it might take longer or shorter...
