Does anyone know if I can book the medical in London after getting our LDN number from the NVC or do we have to wait until the embassy has logged our case?

Hi Cean, we are still waiting on our NOA2 as well.. It is bittersweet to see all the recent approvals out of CSC - congrats to you all! I just wish I was there too hehe.

My fiance threw me for a scare recently. He was planning a trip with some friends and telling me about guilty by association, so if the police decided to stop their caravan and search them if any of the many guys had any illegal paraphernalia or drugs or anything he'd be arrested too. I was kinda panicky, I wanted him to go and have fun as he has done several times in the past and they've never had any issues.. but I knew and arrest would kill our K-1 process. He told me "well if I get arrested.. it's almost impossible to get a US visa with an arrest in this country.." He must have seen the panic in my face and told me that he can pick up his police clearance on Monday so pretty much, screw you Trini police.

So, yes, we have pretty much everything ready. I-134 and supporting documents I haven't sent as the current form expires at the end of this month.. so I'll wait on that so I don't have to do things twice. Otherwise, we are ready and waiting. We did try to see if we could get the medical in advance to speed things up once we get the NOA2, but they won't allow it without an "appointment letter."

jingo.. sorry I do not know about in London, but hopefully someone else can inform you as it's a popular country unlike mine. If not, it won't hurt calling and trying.

It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow (Phil time) since our NOA2/K1 application approval but no Manila Case Number assigned to us yet. :( I had to cancel my leave from work today and tomorrow since I can't do my medical without the MCN or schedule an interview. I guess they are right... the waiting never ends. Lol! :)

Good thing that happened though my CENOMAR and new BC arrived in the mail today! And I thought it will still take two more weeks (according to the NSO site), but surprise!!! I got them today. To do: get NBI clearance, passport pics and the rest of the proof of on-going relationship. Also waiting for the package from my fiance (support, letter, NOA2 etc).

Yep, I-134 expires 5/31/2011.

Wedding plans -- what are you guys thinking or planning? Big party when the foreign fiance arrives? Small legal ceremony now, traditional ceremony later? Just a small civil ceremony? Reception in home country??

We are planning to a small ceremony soon after he arrives so we can jump on AOS. Undecided on something later.. I'd like it, but it's so expensive, the planning, etc. After I get "married" once will I really want to do it again? He's wonderful, and good either way, just doesn't want me to regret it later. If we do have a fancy wedding he just wants to have a sports car to drive off in after :D

Hey Danik,

Wow that's really scary....I always tell my fiance to be careful coz whatever he does it'll affect our petition. And sad to say he filled an extension for filing his tax so I don't know if it'll affect our petition or not. He's been kindda sick this past days and I'm trying to take care of him through skype, it's very hard though. I'm just a little bit thankful that he took the medicines I gave him when he was here in the Philippines and it's helping him to feel better.

I've seen a lot of approvals lately and I feel what you're saying, wish we're there. I guess I need to stop obsessing USCIS website coz it's driving me insane and Igor's timeline too! Checked it today it says that our adjucation period is from May 26 (today) until June 08. We're trying our best to gather the requirements for NOA2; I already have my police clearance, chat logs, phone bills, e-mails, 2x2 photos, his bank statement, his mortgage statement, pay stubs, filled out the I-134 but there are things that we still need let me know if I miss something (employment certificate reflecting years of stay and salary, copy of life insurance, letter from his family and friends regarding our relationship, updated copy of letter of intent, his W2 coz tax person is finishing his tax, his past 3 years tax script. whew that's still a lot! laughing.gif

For the wedding plans, we're planning to have a small ceremony when I get there probably a civil wedding since we're on a tight budget then later on once we're back on track with our lives we'll get married here in the Philippines too. I found this site where we can have our simple ceremony and I think it's pretty good deal. I'm planning to get the wedding clothes here since it's cheaper. For the reception we really don't know yet but my friend suggested we can do it in the park. We haven't really finalized our "wedding plans" coz we're still trying to compute the expenses of this process and make sure we still have money to spend later on like me buying a sports car too! kicking.gif

How about you?

Sounds like you are all set Barn and Cean! Good job. According to the stats here, we should have received our NOA2 2 days ago, but no dice yet :) We will most likely just do a little ceremony during the first month I get down there so that I can go back to work. Then take family and friends out to dinner? Nothing too exciting, I just want something that I can wear my dress to :D We don't really want to do a big wedding, there are enough expenses to deal with with the visa, moving, house, house repairs and decorating etc.

Work here is nice enough to help me get a job down there, but unfortunately I can not just transfer. It should be ok though, I am not worrying about it too much. I hope to move in August, so as long the NOA2 comes before July I am happy :)

Wow, you guys are about a month and a half ahead of me... My timeline says July 11-Aug 1 .. ah well. You should get yours soon though.

Jess&Tim, I am so excited for you about the house & that's even better news that your emaployer will help you find something in the states. I agree on all the expenses, it can be a little stressful. I am working on my masters now full time and a graduate assistant, so my tuition is covered and I get a tiny stipend, but I'm looking for a full time job. I'd like to not have to use a co-sponsor, although my parents are tentatively lined up to do so. It's my goal to get a job, relocate & settle down all before my fiancé comes.

Barn and Cean you are definitely on track, I may tell Dan to use some of your examples for evidence of relationship. I frontloaded our petition for him, so I'll give him the reigns to compiles the rest. I like your idea for a small ceremony and that seems like a good site too, nice find. I'd like to go back to Trinidad & celebrate with his friends & family.. but.. I guess we'll see. That small detail where everything costs money and funnily, it doesn't grow on trees either!

My timeline also said we would be approved between June and July but we got our NOA2 before that. So those things arent that accurate. Also our case was approved on 13/5, a friday, but we didn't get the email notification until 16/5, the following monday. So you never know, they might have already stamped yours with a confirmation :)

So, is the new I-134 published yet or will it come out on the 1st of June?

 $75USD to mail measely papers.. ridiculous. It is pricey to "overnight" to Trini too. Next day delivery actually takes several days - talk about false advertising.

Congrats Andrey & Milena!!

Lovelyjoy, about time huh? I thought NVC was supposed to be quick, but I suppose a couple weeks is nothing compared to the NOA2 wait.

Welcome smasbreuk, you should get that case number soon.

Would anyone like to put a good word in at VSC for the rest of us? This week VSC has approved petitions from August, Septemeber, October, November, December, January, and March - but nothing from February. I am pretty sure we have no red flags or anything obvious to worry about, but every day I get a little nervous or paranoid. Lately I've been thinking about the interview and getting denied there. I wish there were more members or reviews for Trinidad like there is for Canada or the Phils.

jingo, I have read from other VJ members that once a form expires they will continue to accept it until a new version is published. There are also some forms which indicate "previous versions also accepted." I do not know this for certain and have only read about i so I can't give you a link/source - but hopefully they will post something new on Monday. It's really not a complicated form so I'd hope Consulars would be understanding... but who knows.
