I packed a box of books...first box packed. Not a huge start, but I did something :)

I tracked down my immunization records, was a lot more easier then I thought it was going to be. I apparently had my MMR when I was 1, so I will look into that needing to be boosted, but the only thing I have seen so far is that your TDAP is the one that needs to be updated if more then 2 years ago.

I ordered my police certificate (no trace! :innocent: )

I visited my fiance for a few weeks which was amazing, but reminded me of just how much and how soon I want to move back there.

Wow that makes me wanna start packing too! cool.gif That'll probably the most exciting thing to do while waiting for NOA2.

So does that mean that for MMR if we have a record they won't require us to have it again even though it was way way back? Like for the question above do you think a letter from your old pedia like a certification is gonna work that you already had those shots? I was thinking of advancing my shots here in the Philippines (try to complete them if I arms can handle it) before I leave. I heard vaccines are kindda pricey in the US.

Aww, way to go! We're all coming clean biggrin.gif I'm jealous that you get to see your fiance, you're making me miss him more! I hope he can also come down here to visit me but I think he'll just complain coz it's very hot here in our country. Do you think it's advisable if our fiance will come pick us up and be present in the POE?

As for me the only progress I made is my police clearance too! For my Cert of No Marriage I'm afraid to get it now coz it's only valid for 6 mos. and won't be able to make the date til we get married.smile.gif

I haven't found anything saying we need a booster for the MMR. My records came from local health officials who had them on file since when I enrolled into elementary school way back when, they need your immunization records. Check with the place where you get your physical done maybe? The clinic i went to had a list of what was acceptable for proof off immunization. I think you could also do a bloodtest to see what you are immunized against. Do they have a website?

Yes, I hear it is cheaper to get the vaccinations you need for AOS done in your own country.

Your fiance should definitely come meet you at POE, but you'll go from your plane to customs, where you'll be allowed in, then to get your luggage and then only at arrivals will he be able to wait for you. So he can be at the airport to meet you, but won't make a difference to the border patrol since he won't be allowed that far into the airport.

good suggestion, I checked the website it seems that it's gonna work....I guess I have to say hello to my pedia again whistling.gif

yeah I was thinking that too! But the closest POE that he can go to is Detroit a very busy airport and non-smilling immigration officers. laughing.gif I was hoping my POE will be at San Francisco some of the immigration officers there are really friendly, they will even chit-chat with you for a bit and that'll definitely will make you feel comfortable.

How about you guys where are your fiance from and what POE is the easiest you think? I know that there's very little chances of getting denied or have like AP to AP thing since we'll all be standing there and tell them we're getting married but you know it's better to know what other people thinks blush.gif

he actually lives in OH but if I'll have SFO as my POE so I can save hours of travelling coz there's this airline that has a direct flight from Manila to SFO. I just wanna be with him soon! luv.gif I can probably save like 3 hours. Man this waiting feels like forever! Do you have any wedding plans already?

Could be worse - could be VSC!!

I'm anxious for my fiancé to start packing.. then it will start to sink in that he's really coming back, for good, forever.

Your fiance should definitely come meet you at POE, but you'll go from your plane to customs, where you'll be allowed in, then to get your luggage and then only at arrivals will he be able to wait for you. I am the USC so I am planning to visit my man and be there for the interview & then return with him. It's hard to find information about the embassy in Trindad, but I am hoping it is a speedy turnaround between approval and receiving the visa. I also hope my fiancé will be ready to leave then so we can return together. I will be really bummed if he's not and I return without him, knowing he 100% could be on that plane with me :(

Has anyone started to think about how you are going to ship your belongings to your new home? In order to get the most economical rate it may take a matter of weeks, so sending items in advance may be a good idea. Just wanted to plant some thoughts in your head :)

All the best..

I havent thought about how to ship things over. It will probably be really expensive. But apart from books, clothes.. don't really know what else I will need that I can't buy again.
