today is our 157 days.. and we just received a RFE.. when will i expect the letter on the mail about what documents needed to send off? any idea? and how long it will take again for the approval? my fiance and i are sad about this.. i need your help everyone.. thank you

August 25, 2010 I-129F was sent to Lewisville, TX

August 27, 2010 received date

August 30, 2010 NOA1

September 1, 2010 NOA1 hardcopy

September 8, 2010 'touched'

February 2, 2011 RFE =(

February 7, 2011 RFE hardcopy received and sent back to CSC

February 10, 2011 USCIS received our response to RFE

February 15, 2011 I129F APPROVED!! Thank You Lord God...

February 22, 2011 NOA2 hardcopy received..

NVC just received our case

February 23, 2011 Got new case number from NVC via email..

March 2 and 3, 2011 Medical at St. Lukes (PASSED!)

March 7, 2011 US consulate received our case.

MArch 15, 2011 CFO guidance and counseling seminar (got the green cert)

March 17, 2011 USEM letter received via Email..

April 5, 2011 Interview.. VISA APPROVED!

April 13, 2011 Visa in hand..

April 15,2011 POE: LAX

u will know ur FRE when u get the notice, dont worry they're just asking some additional docs. and when ur fiance send that u will be fine.. and u will gonna have ur noa2 soon... at least u know they're looking now at ur packet.. and anytime soon u will be approve too...

N-400:
May 9, 2017: N-400 packet was sent
May 15, 2017: NOA1 
June 05, 2017: Biometric Done
June 19, 2017: Case is in Line for an Interview
June 25, 2018: USCIS Scheduled an Interview
Aug. 02, 2018: Interview Date- APPROVED!
Aug. 09, 2018: Oath Ceremony

yeah that's what i thought.. i hope it will not take another month to process..

I have heard some cases here about people who got an RFE close to their 5 month mark and still got their approval just weeks later. For some it took longer ....really depends on the issue. Get your RFE and send it right away so they can continue from where they stopped right away.

I am sorry to hear you got an RFE. I can imagine how you feel. You have waited so long already. I will be very disappointed if I get one too. I hope your papers arrive soon so you can take care of it quickly. Keep your hopes up and remember you will still have the rest of your lives together soon.

08-22-2008 - Met my wonderful wife in the Philippines.
03-21-2010 - I proposed to her in the Philippines.
09-07-2010 - I-129F filed for K-1 Visa.
09-12-2010 - NOA1 confirmation email received.
11-02-2010 - I visitied the Philippines again.

02-07-2011 - NOA2 email recieved. Approved.
03-22-2011 - Case at USEM.

04-15-2011 - Interview Date. She passed.
05-01-2011 - POE

06-25-2011 - We were married.

-Life has been great ever since.
