Hi!

Three questions about the petition for the fiance visa:

1. My fiance lives in Ecuador in a place where mail doesn't arrive to his house. I believe that if he is approved for the visa, then the packet of information would arrive to the address that is given on the initial petition, so I am wondering what address to put there? I have a friend's address in a close-by city and he can pick up the packet there as it would be more secure to arrive, but would that be misleading to the authorities if he isn't actually living there? Or, should I put a secure mailing address (not current living address) on the petition form's first page, and then his actual living address on the second page when it asks for the address abroad?

2. I am currently living abroad in Ecuador with my fiance and am trying to complete this whole process from here. I can put together all the documents and my plan was to send them to a friend in the US to send them in. Is it ok to put my mailing address as my permanent residence in the US, even though I am not currently living there?

3. Finally, I do not have access to my checkbook while abroad currently. I was going to ask a friend to send the check and my fiance and I would pay them back, but does it look suspicious to the authorities reading the application that the check comes a seemingly random person? Would it be better to have my parents (with the same last name) send the check in their names, or order a check book to send it under my name?

Thanks so much!

You can mail the petition in Ecuador if you want, it doesn't have to be mail from the US.
