Important question about EAD card, need help

I just got my AP and EAD card in the mail ....i know ..exciting!!!and my hubby has to do his taxes and he has to put i think my SSN on it. Do we put the number on the EAD card or i have to go to a local SSN office to get my SSN and then put that on his tax forms..w2 i think.

You need a ssn number, number on your card is not your SSN number.

That is just your alien number.

Get your SSN at your local office and it will take a few weeks to deliver but you can go back in within 2 days and they will give you the number then your hubbie can do his taxes. Take in your EAD card and marriage cert passport for ID and get them to put it in your married name.

thank you for the info, but what is a local office? you mean uscis or there is such thing as a SSN office?

No darl your local social security office this is where you will get your number. And you are welcome.
