Hi all i have a question relating to police certificates,I carried the correct process for a K1 visa and was granted no problem!!

I took my immigration police certificates to my interview in London before being granted a K1,K1 APPROVED,I flew over to the states to marry my fiance, got married 2 days ago although not the wedding we had planned as she is 8 months pregnant and could not fit into her ideal dress after all the waiting from csc and consulate.

We are just getting the AOS forms ready and noticed on I-485 it asks of any arrest of which i answered yes...one misdemeanor from 12 yr ago, fighting with another soldier,I served 14yr in the British Army.Do i now have to get another police certificate from the U.K. or will USCIS still have this as it was in my sealed brown envelope which i gave to Immigration at my POE? and of which he asked me about during my Inspection, then continued looking through the rest of the forms...content stamped my I-94 and let me go on my way.

Also could i be denied AOS now at this late stage because of this after getting married and my first born due in 4 weeks???

Any help will be appreciated...Tom

USCIS will have the report in the immigrations packet.

I would simply attach a sheet explaining the Yes on the I-485, and that the police report was provided to the US Embassy for the K-1.

AOS does not need police reports.

Thanks YUandDan,

It was just with it mentioning them on the AOS forms it kinda got me thinking,so is there a possibility i could now still be denied after them letting me get married?

You would not have been issued a K-1 is this was considered grounds for inadmissibility, since you got the K-1, then more than likely wont be an issue for AOS.

At the time of my K1 interview i was a little nervous about this and was informed by the consular officer it is a misdemeanor, and definately not grounds of inadmisability, also the inspecting IO would have red flagged me if it was,i believe!!

It just with the baby due and also all the AOS stuff we are probably stressed out.

Thanks again.
