Some people may just strongly believe that no matter what, they will not terminate a pregnancy no matter where it implanted. They can know anatomy but still not think they are to interfere with it at all.

I can understand that, because it is a very serious decision to end one life to save another. If something like that were to happen to me and there was no chance of the pregnancy surviving while also causing me potentially deadly internal bleeding, I would be heart broken to end that life. It's nothing to take lightheartedly, to me.

I understand that it would be a very hard decision, but it seems silly to let a pregnant woman die for a fetus that is not viable when a surgery would save her life.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

If detected early enough, you don't even need surgery. Just a few shots and it basically dissolves.

For some reason the defense for abortion almost always rests on these one in a thousand or on in ten thousand cases rather than the 9999. which are flushed down the toilet.

Meanwhile 4000 abortions are performed each day on those who would be born in the wealthiest country, in a place with the highest living standard the world has known.

It's more of a defense of the position that women and their doctors should be allowed to decide in a manner that is consistent their personal belief systems and medical science.

So are you willing to adopt a baby or 7?

Nobody has a right to tell another person what they can and cannot do with their body, especially when it is under a religious pretext.

Oh and btw - the incidence of ectopic pregnancy is a lot more than that.

From PubMed:

Ectopic pregnancies occur in 1 in every 40 to 1 in every 100 pregnancies.

When someone in my state(don't know about all the others) says that they want to kill them self, anyone who hears it is obligated to alert the authorities to the situation. That would also be controlling someone's body, even though they aren't killing anyone else. What do you think about that?

I guess those of us who are against most abortions obviously don't think it should be a religious issue only. It's not like the bible says specifically "do not abort a fetus"...but it says "do not kill", which is also part of the law of the land. Since the bible refers to being formed in the womb and how precious life is, it's easy to see why "do not kill"+ "life is important even in the womb" = abortion is not good. And obviously, it's not just one religion that doesn't support it. And you don't have to be religious at all to be an opponent of abortion.

Then why do you support minimum wage laws or prostitution laws... or tattoo laws or or or.

You pretty much have to believe that life begins at some point before birth. The earlier one believes that point is, the more restrictions on abortion one can justify based on that belief.

Given that there is no universally agreed upon definition of life or a universally agreed upon understanding of what it means to be human, it's no surprise there is so much disagreement between people on this issue. Personally, I feel the best way to approach a problem of this nature (one which lacks even the most basic consensus) is to let choice prevail, even when an exercise of choice by one offends the other.

Again, more BS to justify your position.

There is a shortage of babies... not a surplus, in fact we have people roaming through russia, Asia and Africa to locate adoptable children.

That has more to do with PITA adoption procedures in the United States (yes, you can blame the lefties for that). There are lots of unadopted American kids out there.

The proper translation is "Do not murder." Abortion is murder.

What someone is allowed to do with their body is not absolute, and abortion is not just about the woman's body. Abortion destroys a baby's body, often literally.

I really don't get the difference between murdering innocent adults in a mass killing act and murdering thousands of babies individually. Either life is precious or it's not, no?

I'm sorry but the PITA abortion procedures made me lol. I assume you meant adoption.
