I have a question for you gals

Wow! I love reading and learning more everyday about Islam. I have been doing alot if reading and trying to learn and research my husbands belief system which is Islam. I have found many great sites thanks to the ladies that take the time to post and explain. I have also bought books to learn. As I am reading and trying to learn I have an open mind and a open heart.

Religion and beliefs systems are usually a tough topic as many have different beliefs and are unwilling to fully listen and it never really ends up very good, this is on past experiences. Then if you mix in politics it really gets out of control. My opinion is research it for yourself fully then if you have questions ask. For me I read and then I write questions down on a piece of paper, if I can't answer it myself by the time I am done with the text I research it further and gather my own information, if I still have a question I will ask or if I need clarification. That is the way I learn the best and it really works for me. Hope it might give direction to the ones who are not used to doing their own foot work.

Please don't take anything I said in the wrong manner as I am only sharing my experiences.

i totally agree with you and i have to say Samir has been wonderful in not trying to force anything on me. I know it is hard for him sometimes to deal with the fact i dont believe in his religion but, he has been nothing but kind to me about it. in my opinion, he would make an awesome christian oh well wishful thinking. i love him no matter what. and i know God loves him too
