Like all of us here I need my love here sooner than later. But unlike those of us calling the offices to hurry the process on the NOA2 approval.. I am hoping it will take longer than expected. The reason is that I'm just out of college and I haven't got my economic situation together yet. I filed my petition in November. I took a job in December, but it is not working out. I don't have a cosponser. Any suggestions?

Don't do anything about the petition. Once approved it is valid for 4 months, if necessary you can ask the consulate for an extension, usually granted in 4 month increments. Delay the interview if necessary, not the petition.

Let the petition go through USCIS as normal. You can plan the delay for the consulate stage.

It is advisable to at least get your foot in the door first. There are other stages you can delay. You can request an extension, delay your forms at the NVC stage, and ask the embassy to shift your interview forward, which I'm sure they'll be happy to do. Just be sure to get past the screening stage first.
