? about confirmation

My wife and I sent our package to the uscis in chicago on the 25th of january using usps,we payed for confirmation and all that,the post office said we would get a letter the same day they received it,and they also said they would get it by the 27th or 28th of january too,well its now feb 1st and we have not heard or received nothing from anybody,we both are getting nervous,it was supposed to be there by feb 3,what should we do,any information will be greatly appreciated,thanks.

It WILL be received, if you have a tracking number from the Post Office track it on USPS.COM

Don't stress if USPS.COM says something about waiting for pick up and return is some number of says, IT WILL be picked up.

Bad bad bad weather and storms. Wait till Feb 3 as you said and if you still have not heard then see about calling USPS about it.

Do you still have your post office receipt? The long number down the side is the tracking number. You can use that on the USPS website to track your package and make sure it arrived. You shouldn't expect any letters from the USCIS for a couple of weeks (in general) after they have received the packet.

Yeah... Our packet just went out Feb 1, priority mail with delivery confirmation (and an 1145 so my wife gets email/text) and under normal circumstances, I'd expect USPS to have it in Chicago by around Friday, but with the snow... might not get there 'til next week.
