Case Complete Notification

When the case is complete (cc) at the nvc, how do they notify the petitioner and beneficiary? I keep hearing of very proactive people calling the Automatated Voice Response system everyday, etc. I'm out of the U.S. so calling the AVR is a little costly. I'm assuming both petitioner and beneficiary will receive a Case Complete notification via email. Is this correct? And if so, will the medical and interview dates be sent in the same email? Thanks for any responses.

I can only speak for myself, but we never received any notification. We only found out about case complete via the AVR. The next correspondence that we received from NVC was an email with our interview date. So if all else fails, you could just wait for that email!

Today the NVC notifed my attorney they had all the documents they needed and the case was complete. I have a SIF to verify it was true.

The email was in response to an inquiry the paralegal sent to NVC questioning their request for a new DS -230 part 1.

The response was 'forget it we have all we need'.

So my wife will be getting an interview date next.

:D

I just called the AVR and found out the case was completed on Feb. 1, though I just found out yesterday from the attorney's paralegal contacting them about a RFE they sent to her. So that is one week scratched off the wait time for the interview letter.

Where do we put our email information? Are we supposed to create an account like we did at USCIS? I paid the AOS and IV bills and now we're getting our paperwork together to mail in. Thanks:)

With 20/20 hindsight I would simply call them every other day to check on the case. They did a super stupid RFE on our case and we only received the e-mail notification 2 weeks later. We found out by calling them a few days after the RFE was filed, and tried to take care of it - but it ultimately delayed our interview by a month.

Just call them every other day or so to get an update on your case.
