Political figures literally hold people's lives in their hands. If it's not reasonable to assume that their lives are also held in the hands of those said individuals, then you might as well live in a totalitarian state in which people have been fully brainwashed.

The Constitution/Bill of Rights LIMITS what the Federal Government can/cannot do.
