My friend recommended this. http://www.vienlien247.com/

Only problem is it's in Vietnamese (he helped me sign up). Also you must buy $25 at a time.

I've used it and I think it's good, though sometimes the volume is a bit low. There is a form to fill out to get the call history (in Vietnamese though)

Landline rates are good, but cell rates are too high.

you shouldn't be using Phone Card anyway because it doesn't give you a print out of the number you called. This is a good evidence for all cases. I would suggest you to get either v247 or Rong Vang. These are 2 great providers that I'm using. They both give you printout online so you can print it off or your wife can print it off there in VN. Sign up and pay with credit card if you want to.

Here are their website:

v247 www.savingcall.com (2.9 cent/min)

Rong Vang www.rongvangvttc.com (2.8 cent/min I think)

Good luck and have fun calling.

The problem with savingcall.com is the price is much higher for cell phones. We normally use a Skype number she has, which I call from my cell phone creating a record. But right now her computer is down. So this is very temporary.

If they can't understand that people would rather spend $3 a month than $5 a day and still be in love, then that's their problem :-)

Rebtel is 4.9 cents a min to cell phone. Rebtel is pretty hard to beat in most cases. You can sign up for an account and try it for free. Once you put the number in the system it will tell you how much it is. I have used rebtel for almost 2 years now.

I went with banana call for now. I've used them before and they were the best price I found before. Although Rebtel might be better, since you know sometimes they have hidden fees.

This one claims... $1.99 connect fee... $1.49 weekly fee (though I don't plan to keep it the whole week and they tell me it's billed at the end of the week)... then $.004 per minute. Since it's New Year and I want to talk for several hours, I chose the one with the high connect fee. But on normal occasions, it seems like maybe Rebtel will be better.

Anyhow, I'll report how it works out. How many minutes I actually get vs. what they promised, etc.... :-)

I agree with using saving call (v247). I was first turned on to it at a Asian market where I send money to my honey from. At the market I am allowed to choose to add any amount i like to my account. I have added as little as $5. However if you add money to your account online you are stuck with $25 dollar increments. I also like this service because it is very easy to use their website to print out your calling history. It clearly shows your number and the destination number as well. Their service even allows you to set up a speed dial so you only have to press one number to ring your honey. Their customer service is pretty good too. I have been very pleased with them and have continued to use them for almost 1 year now.
