February Montreal Interviews

Our appointment is February 14th, at 9am. Just wondering how many people have been going early to line up before 7:30am or if they have gone at the time of the interview. Is there any advantage to being early ?

My appointment was at 8:30am and I still showed up early. I got there around 6am, was the first one there (about 8 people sooner followed) and was the first person in for an interview! If you have a 9am appointment, I say go early. They took me early, (which meant I got to do some sightseeing in Montreal before my flight home!). Dress warm and good luck!

The interview time on the letter is likely not the time you will be interviewed at. It is first come first serve at the door with the letters. If you get to the door first and are first in line - you are the FIRST person interviewed, regardless if your paper says 10am interview. and it is only 8am.

Yes.It is first come first serve at the door with the letters. If you get to the door FIRST, you are first in line with tag letter "A" and You will be out by 10:00 A.M.

I'm on the same date too!!!! My appt. is at 10 Am but I will be showing up early. I am staying at the hotel practically in front of the Embassy called La tour Centre Ville

We are staying at the Quality Inn Downtown, the internet rate was really good, $95.00 a night and it seems very close to the Embassy.

we had our interview in november at 8:30AM. arrived exactly at 7:30 AM, were 3rd in line, and were done and out the doors by 8:55AM. get there at 7:30!

I just want to share my experience with you guys. I wondered about this whole getting there early business too, but in the end I decided not to go super early--just 20 minutes before my appointment time. The reason for that decision was that it was January and I had a 3-month-old infant with me. I thought it was better for her to wait all day inside the consulate than to wait even 30 minutes outside.

I was happy with my decision. My appointment time was 8:30am. I arrived at 8:10. I was completely done at 9:40am. Just sayin.

Thank you for the heads up, I too have a 8 month old baby but my sister will accompany her at the hotel so I am covered.
