Hi!

I sent my file a little under 2 weeks ago, and received my NOAs and my biometrics appointment letter in the mail yesterday.

Sorchaine, we have just about the same timeline.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello to you again, Kizza! :D Hoping for a speedy journey for you!

We sent ours out on the 22nd, and got our texts on Monday. Still waiting for hardcopies, but we're in the processes, at least. I'm pretty sure we're going to get a RFE, though, but we're hoping it all goes quick. :)

hi everyone! just wanna share...

i called USCIS NCSC today and asked about not seeing my case online. My call has been escalated and then the person who answered gave me a number (they said a helpdesk) which I can report the problem to. then when I called the number, they said they don't understand why NCSC keeps on giving their number when they don't deal with these things. I don't remember what company it was but they deal with students I believe. So he gave me an email address (uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov) and told me to ask thru email who supports USCIS website and maybe they can give me an answer.

I also asked about not getting any mail re bio appointment or any updates about my case. He said to give it 90 days??? he just said what he sees in their system now is that my documents are sitting in one of the desks in Missouri and being reviewed? did anybody get the same reply? what does that mean? why in Missouri? what office is that?

everyday I keep hoping and praying that my case will go smoothly and as fast as most of the cases I'm seeing here. pls give me some inputs.. it means a lot to hear from any of you guys.

Thanks!

Missouri is I suppose a National Benefit Center where the AP and EAD are processed, I think.

I saw a lot of people here having problem with USCIS website, their cases do not show up online.

For not receiving the Bio appointment notice, according to your timeline, it has only been one week since you received the NOA1. So I would say it is quite normal.

Some people having in the same time as the NOA, some later like me ( I think I received it in 5 open days). I would suggest to wait 2 and a half week after the NOA to call for your bio appt.

As for the case not showing up online, I would wait some weeks. It is less a concern as you will still receive everything by e-mail and I suppose you receive the texts and e-mails.

You are in the beginning of the process and I know it makes you worry, I would compare with other VJ members and contact USCIS if you are really outside of their schedules.

You'll be fine, try not to think of it and things will happen :)

PS: Yesterday my case was received by the CSC.

Phardream, I just wanted to confirm that my NOAs were sent from the National Benefits Center in Missouri.

I agree with Ben... I was looking at people's timelines and the time it takes to get the biometrics appointment varies a lot.

Try not to think about it too much... it just makes time go slower in my opinion!

Hello to you again, Kizza! :D Hoping for a speedy journey for you!

Hey Frenzyheart :) yes I hope things go smoothly for you guys too... It sucks about the RFE but at least you know what it's about and can easily fix it.

Good luck!

ben and kizza, thank you for the words of encouragement. really appreciate it. I actually did check most of the timelines and noticed that most feb filers get their bio appt letters right away. that's why I'm a bit worried on what's going on. but you are both right! I shouldnt worry myself too much and shouldnt count the days! I will just hope and pray that everything turns out well.

Good luck again to everyone! have a nice day!

Just received a text/email about a RFE. Hopefully the letter will arrive fast so we can send off what is needed quickly and get the process going again. I'm hoping it's just for what I thought I would get one for, I forgot to include the co-sponsor's birth certificate. If that's it, it'll be easy to get, already have a copy here just in case.

Completed biometrics for my husband this morning!! I think the only thing that saved us from being turned away was that we were the only ones there.

Original appointment was for March 28th, but decided to try to walk-in on March 4th. Arrived at 9:25 AM. **Despite letter saying it was room 949, it's actually room 101 on the 1st floor** Went up to the security guard and gave him the appointment letter and passport. He went to stamp the letter and stopped then asked why we were coming in almost one month early. Told him to get it over with and thought we would see if we could get it done now. He said he had to check with the lady in the back first. He was very nice. He went to speak to her and came back and told us that she would go ahead and do it since no one else was there. He said that they used to allow walk-ins, but are more strict now with them.

He gave my husband the paper to fill out and he brought it back up, gave it to the lady and she called him over. Took fingerprints of all his fingers twice then his photo. Said that his EAD would arrive soon, but she couldn't tell us when. Then she had my husband fill out a comment card and that was it! Done by 9:35 AM.

There was another gentleman who came in while I was waiting for my husband. He was helped by another lady. She was not as friendly and nice as the other one or the security guard. The gentleman told her that he was in town and wanted to see if he could get his biometrics done early, his appointment was for March 10th. She told him that they prefer if you reschedule your appointment if you can't make it on that day and that they don't normally accept walk-ins, but she would accept him this time.

I bet it has to do with your local office (ASC)... maybe the L.A. one is a little slower than others at giving out appointments. My appointment letter didnt come in the same type of enveloppe as my NOAs. I wish I would have checked -- I wonder if it came directly from Denver.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Hey. hey! We got our biometrics letter in the mail today! I wasn't expecting it until at least the end of the week or early the next week! Our appointment is set for the 30th, and I think we'll go ahead and stick with it, since we're expecting an RFE anyways. I'm kinda hoping we don't get it, but I'm expecting it just so that I'm not disappointed. At least I know what it's for and it will be a simple print, sign and send the same day, lol.
