Received hard copy NOAs today! Hoping the biometrics comes sometime in the next week.

got the 3 emails from USCIS today letting me know they received my application. finally.

I did my biometrics this morning. I was schedule on march 15th but decided to do a walk-in.

I could do it so they took my fingerprints and photo.

Still have to wait...

where did you walk in at? My local office is Wheaton, MD... I really want to walk in but im not sure if they allow it, and i can only take one day off (either the march 15th appt date or a walk in date )

on the website is says it is not open on saturday.

it is weird that I did not receive the texts...

One weird thing happen also is when I received the NOA1, the three envelop were not sealed!!!!

The officer did not take the time to close the envelop... it could have been lost during transportation...

Thanks.......did u sign up to receive txt msg? That is pretty weird that the envelopes were not sealed but u have them is the most important thing......now i wonder how long will it take csc to finish these puppies?

I sent my file a little under 2 weeks ago, and received my NOAs and my biometrics appointment letter in the mail yesterday.

wow kizza! your processing is fast. I sent mine last 02/11/11 and I havent gotten a biometrics letter yet. been waiting for it in the mail since I got my NOA's. hoping to get it soon... based on everyone's inputs here, looks like the processing is faster now. am I correct?

anybody who could help me with my question? I was wondering coz I didn't send I-131 when i mailed docs. I'm thinking if I should send one still? when you get the green card, do you still need AP? and if i do send one now, how do i do it? I can write down the Alien nbr already so they can file it easily right? I plan to go visit my country and see my son but Im torn between waiting for the green card or using the AP. plan to stay there for a month before I start applying for work here.

any inputs?

You wont need the AP once you get the greencard but you will need it should you decide to travel before you get the greencard. I am not sure if you send the AP now they will be able to match it with your file. but I do know if you file AP separate from the AOS pkt it is an additional fee. That is why most people have been filing AOS.EAD,AP all together because you pay the one time fee of $1,070.00 If you send them separate you pay additional fee.

- thanks for your reply. I just called USCIS customer service and they said as long as I send a copy of the receipts and attach it to the I-131, then they will waive the fee. just put the alien number in too.

I'm still hoping that the processing for my docs will be fast. good luck to all of us here!

The biometrics appt was very easy and to the point we got there filled out a form with ur normal questions of name date of birth country of residence etc......once u fill the form they call u back u verify that all the info in the computer is ur info. Then they take ur fingerprints and pic. It only took 10mins for the entire appt. So no worries and good luck. Let me know if u have other questions.......
