Congrats that is nice to get everything! We got greencard and welcome letter on the first of April....we got txt on the 5th that EAD card was ordered but up until now we still have not gotten the EAD

I haven't received anything either. I was told to go by the estimated timeframe of my local USCIS field office, which is showing they are still working on October 2010.

hi sorchaine! well, at least yours was transferred to CSC already so there has been movement somehow. :) hope we get something soon...

Congrats to anitta, kizza and dcptfan, and Mharj, hope your GC comes soon! And sorchaine and phardream, hope you guys get some more movement ASAP. :)

thanks HI-UG! I really am praying to get an interview soon to get it over with and so I could go visit home. don't wanna risk using the AP since I overstayed.:(

David and I are Feb 2011 filers! I've been following this forum closely but I don' think I've posted yet.

We're getting anxious from some news on the EAD- but it's encouraging to see so many others making great progress! Good luck to everyone! :)

On 27th May we received an email saying The Premanent residency Card has been Ordered.....Few hours later another mail saying...Your case has been approved....few hours later 3rd email saying ....Card has been ordered for production. Today Another email saying ...We have mailed the Approval notice.......

In Short, DONE WITH USCIS FOR THE NEXT 2 yrs....

My husband's status just changed tonight, finally!! It is now in Card/Document Production. So happy to finally get some movement on it! I was starting to wonder if it would be faster to just reapply all over again, haha!

My husband and I are feeling very frustrated on the GC front - we still haven't heard anything about our AOS. I tried calling customer service and they couldn't even tell me that the application was in California. Did you receive notification on the USCIS website? I got two.. one saying it was transferred, and one saying it is now being processed..

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Hang in there for those that are still waiting, it will come when you least expect it.

Just to update the feb filers, I took my first trip outside US for work for 2 weeks and on returning, the Customs Boarder officer only asked how long i was out and stamped with "ARC" which means "Alien Registration Card" in my Ugandan passport. Hope taking many trips outside US ain't a problem for me bc we have to go for our honeymoon later this year and expect another trip for work too.

I know that this might have been discussed already but just cant find the right answers somehow when I try to search for it. Just wanna ask do i have to have my spouse's birth certificate (petitioner) with us on the interview or his US passport will suffice? He was born here in the US and he doesn't have a copy of his birth certificate. :( Thanks!

If you still have time, i think you can still request a certified copy of his birth certificate, just to be sure.

They do not really ask for it, BUT then you never know when they will ask for the BC..There were some reviews by vj members that there are IO that really ask for the BC (original or the certified one, coz the IO thinks that it's easy to obtain a photocopy and it might be a fake BC if its photocopy)..

Although the US Passport is a legal document that proves his citizenship.

BUT I will still recommend that you get a copy of his BC.(coz u might need it in the future too!)

That is just my opinion though,when We had our interview, the IO did not ask for my husband's passport or BC, though he presented his Driver's License. :)

Our AOS interview went fine, lasted for only 10 mins. :)

And yesterday, finally received my GC!

SO, i will see USCIS after 2 yrs for the ROC..

and for those who are still waiting for their interviews and some movement for their cases--it will come at the right time.. :)
