We got the greencard in the mail today! The journey is over until 2013 (or at least 90 days prior) thanks everyone we are very happy!

I swore I wouldn't be so ####### about the AOS as I was about the K1. I lied.I majorly lied. I am pacing back and forth as the time nears that a good majority of folks are getting the green cards. In my head all I keep hearing is Green card Green card....kind of like the little engine that could.....that green card thought, keeps speeding up in anticipation and hope. All the what if's and such are driving me bonkers. One thing is for sure. If you have someone who needs to learn patience......put them through the immigration process!

I got text/email that EAD card production has been ordered...after we already got the Greencard in hand and welcome letter on April 1st...Only Immigration...lol however since we paid $1070.00 I would like everything we paid for even though they are not useful anymore...lol

This morning I got a text/email stating my case status had been updated.

My appointment letter was sent today, for May 12.

We got a similar text/email message about ordering the production of our EAD card today as we did on 1st April. Any one with an idea of how long it takes to have it in the mail box?

I did my biometrics as appointed in Saint Paul today. REALLY simple thing. Got there half an hour early at 8:30 (at 9 the place was decently packed), showed them my appointment and American license for an ID, sat down to quickly fill out the page they gave me. They took the sheet of paper from me, checked if everything was filled in correctly, stamped my appointment letter and sent me off straight to fingerprinting. The room was empty except for 3 ladies, one of which scanned my letter, then had me check my data on the computer and began taking prints of each finger. After that took a picture and I was done. Back on the way home at 9

The place is located in a strip mall-ish place, right between LeannChin and UPS, free parking. The lady and the guy at the front desk were polite and even friendly. The lady taking my prints didn't say a word, the other two ladies were talking about some vacation. When another client came in one of them turned to tell them to wait as she hadn't finished her story yet. Very relaxed experience for me. I guess really early in the morning not a lot of people are there yet and their days haven't been long so they were all fairly nice there

On April 6, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole).  Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

Hi everyone! I've been reading this forum for a while and finally registered aswell

We sent the AOS package on Feb 12th, I'll have to fill in my timeline soon. So far I've done my biometrics and returned a RFE. Now waiting again.

I do have one question...I only received one receipt number. I didn't apply for AP but I did for EAD. My biometrics was for both AOS and EAD.

I've been checking USCIS for updates, impatiently waiting for my EAD to be approved but I just though that would it show up there because

of the only one receipt number. Did everyone else get a receipt number for each application?
